House Speaker Tim Miley and his leadership team are forming a Small Business, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development work group with the intent of it becoming a standing committee focusing on those issues when the regular legislative session begins Jan. 8.
The West Virginia Legislature passed House Bill 2014, the Budget Bill, in just three days of an extended session.
Today the Senate completed Senate Bill 105,which would allow rule making authority relating to administration, collection and enforcement of local sales, use and excise taxes by the Tax Commissioner.

Officials in southeastern West Virginia are turning the water back on for about 12,000 Lewisburg area residents who lost service after a diesel fuel spill. Media outlets report the state Bureau of Public Health notified the city around 7 p.m. Monday that it could restart its water treatment plant.
